Key responsibilities

- Plan, manage and deliver test automation for projects and BAU requirements.
- Provide SME support, technical advice and guidance on automation testing, and promote test automation capabilities and perks.
- Liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders across Airservices teams, including vendors, to build and deliver test automation capabilities.
- Perform feasibility assessment and identify test automation requirements and scope in consultation with relevant project and BAU teams.
- Uplift automation capabilities to improve overall test efficiency and productivity through the use of latest tools, including smart/AI automation.
- Create automation test strategy and plans based on the requirements.
- Develop, implement and maintain automation test frameworks.
- Identify, setup and manage automation test tools – UFT, Selenium, etc.
- Develop and execute automation test scripts as per the agreed plans and ensure test results and evidence are documented.
- Update and maintain automation test plans & suites for regression testing.
- Defect management, coordination and reporting on automation testing.
- Identify and report testing risks, issues and dependencies.
- Provide regular testing status updates and reports, including reporting metrics and KPIs for automation testing.
- Evaluate testing results and provide test summary reports with independent assessment and recommendation for testing signoff and change approval.
- Ensure testing artefacts/assets – automation test scripts, results, evidence, defect reports, etc.

Experience, skills, and qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of test automation experience in a lead role.
- Demonstrated experience in leading, planning and delivering automation testing activities, including design and execution of automation test scripts.
- Ability to assess test automation requirements and develop proposals/options for implementation of automation tools and capabilities.
- Experience in the development and implementation of test automation strategy, framework and guidelines.
- Hands‑on test automation experience across various types of applications such as SAP/ERP, Web, Webservices, APIs, etc.
- Experience and skills in relevant testing automation tools – Microfocus Unified Functional Test, SOAP UI, Selenium, etc.
- Experience with various testing methodologies such as V‑model, Agile.
- Knowledge in system development lifecycle processes and industry testing standards – IEEE 1012/29119, TMMi.
- Experience and skills in testing tools, particularly with Microfocus Application Life Cycle Management for test and defect management.
- Ability to effectively communicate, engage and build stakeholder relationships.
- Experience in providing independent assessments and recommendations for improving overall testing efficiencies and application performance.
- Tertiary qualification in IT related discipline, preferably with formal training and certification in testing/automated testing.
