Disability Support Workers Needed – Hamlyn Terrace

Support Central Co is recruiting compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team for group home in Hamlyn Terrace, supporting two female participants with mental health diagnoses.

This is an prospect to become part of a consistent and supportive team, helping participants live safely, independently and meaningfully within their home and community.

About the Role

PPT or Casual Disability Support Worker

? Hamlyn Terrace, Central Coast NSW

? 10–30 hours per week, with potential for additional hours

? Fortnightly rotating roster, including day shifts, sleepover shifts and weekends

⏰ Applicants must have availability to support a 24/7 service

What You’ll Do

- Provide person-centred support to two female participants in a shared home environment.

- Assist with daily living tasks, personal care, meal preparation, medication support and household duties as required.

- Support community access, appointments, social engagement and skill development.

- Build positive, professional relationships while maintaining clear boundaries.

- Follow individual support plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies.

- Respond calmly and professionally to mental health-related challenges.

- Complete accurate progress notes,



incident reports and other required documentation.

- Work collaboratively with the wider support team, management and allied health professionals.

What We’re Looking For

- Availability across a rotating fortnightly roster, including weekdays, weekends, day shifts and sleepovers.

- Experience supporting people with mental health diagnoses and/or complex support needs is highly regarded.

- A calm, resilient and empathetic approach.

- Willingness to provide personal care and domestic support where required.

- Strong communication, teamwork and documentation skills.

- Reliable transport and a registered, insured vehicle.

- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.

Qualifications & Checks

- Current Australian Driver’s Licence

- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate

- NDIS Worker Screening Check

- Working with Children Check

- NDIS New Worker Orientation Module

- Certificate III or higher in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services or Aged Care preferred

Some qualifications may be completed after commencement, depending on the requirement.
