Work with one of Australia's leading civil construction contractors Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily construction activities across the project
Develop and maintain three-week look-ahead programs
Monitor productivity and project performance against budget
Manage procurement activities, subcontractors and material deliveries
Assist with project variations and commercial reporting
Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
Manage quality assurance documentation, inspections and testing
Maintain drawing registers, RFIs and survey coordination
Ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements and project specifications
Conduct safety walks, audits and support high-risk work planning
Assist with monthly reporting and project certifications About The Role Reporting to the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer, you'll oversee the technical delivery of construction activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You'll work closely with supervisors, subcontractors and project stakeholders to coordinate daily site operations while maintaining Unyte's commitment to safety, quality and excellence.
About You
You are an experienced Site Engineer who enjoys delivering technically challenging infrastructure projects and thrives in a cooperative site environment. Ideally, you will have hands-on experience across large-scale civil construction works, including earthworks, road construction, FRP (Flood Recovery Program) projects, drainage and sewage infrastructure.
Required Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent
Previous experience as a Site Engineer delivering civil infrastructure, renewable energy, transport or major construction projects
Demonstrated experience in bulk earthworks, road construction, FRP (Flood Recovery Program) projects, drainage and sewage infrastructure works
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and project delivery
Experience coordinating subcontractors, plant and site activities
Sound commercial awareness, procurement and cost control experience
Knowledge of quality assurance systems, testing requirements and HSEQ compliance
Strong understanding of survey coordination, RFIs and project documentation
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Current Australian Driver's License
