This is a solid opportunity for an experienced real estate finance professional to join an established private lending platform and play a senior role in growing its Victorian business.

The firm provides property finance across transactions typically ranging from $5m to $20m, with capital available to deploy and a strong appetite for recent lending opportunities. The successful candidate will have the autonomy to build a meaningful book of business, backed by established investment, credit and execution capability.

You will work directly with senior decision-makers and have the ability to shape transactions from the outset - from initial borrower engagement and structuring through to credit approval and settlement.

The mandate is to originate new real estate finance transactions across Victoria and build towards approximately $100m of new lending per annum, with a particular focus on developing long-term relationships with borrowers and intermediaries that generate repeat deal flow.

Upon successful hire, you will:

- Originate and convert new lending opportunities across the Victorian property market.
- Build relationships with developers, property investors, brokers, advisers and other referral partners.
- Lead transactions typically ranging from $5m to $20m.
- Assess opportunities early and work with borrowers to shape commercially attractive and creditworthy structures.
- Lead discussions around leverage, pricing, security and transaction terms.
- Work closely with senior investment and credit decision-makers throughout the approval process.
- Maintain ownership of the borrower relationship through execution and settlement.
- Develop a sustainable pipeline of repeat and referral-driven business.

The successful candidate will have:

- Strong relationships across the Victorian commercial property market.
- Experience in private credit, non-bank lending, banking, debt advisory or real estate finance.
- A demonstrated ability to originate and close commercial real estate debt transactions.
- Strong commercial judgement across property, leverage, servicing, security and transaction risk.
- The confidence to develop borrower and intermediary relationships independently.
- A track record of converting relationships into repeat deal flow.
- The ability to operate autonomously while working collaboratively with investment and credit teams.
