JS Careers is excited to be partnering with a global investment management firm to source a newly created Head of Compliance - Superannuation position.

This is a critical leadership role with accountability for the Australian compliance function, while also partnering with an international compliance team on global initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the Australian compliance function with responsibility for superannuation and AML compliance.
- Act as the Accountable Person under FAR for the Compliance and AML functions.
- Provide commercially focused compliance advice to senior executives, Boards and key governance committees.
- Lead regulatory engagement with ASIC, APRA and other relevant stakeholders.
- Personally drive complex regulatory initiatives and business-critical compliance projects from inception through to implementation.
- Review emerging compliance issues in detail, identify root causes and ensure effective remediation.
- Maintain oversight of compliance monitoring, testing and risk management frameworks.
- Embed strong governance, accountability and ethical standards throughout the organisation.
- Develop,



mentor and lead a high-performing compliance team.
- Partner with global compliance colleagues to contribute to regional and international regulatory initiatives.

About You

You are recognised within the industry as a technical expert in Australian superannuation regulation and are comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.

You will bring:

- Extensive experience leading compliance within the Australian superannuation sector.
- 10+ years' experience in financial services compliance.
- Solid knowledge of APRA and ASIC regulatory frameworks.
- A proven ability to lead complex regulatory change and resolve challenging compliance issues.
- Demonstrated experience influencing senior executives, Boards and regulators.
- Strong people leadership skills with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent judgement, communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- A collaborative leadership style combined with a willingness to remain hands-on when required.
