Role Description

The Bookkeeper will work part time on-site in the Maitland office supporting a range of small and medium-sized business clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, payroll processing, superannuation and BAS preparation, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and reporting requirements.

The Bookkeeper will communicate confidently and directly with clients, respond to queries,



and collaborate with the team to improve processes and provide reliable, timely bookkeeping support.

Qualifications & Experience

- Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements to support client reporting and decision-making
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and related digital tools
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Relevant qualification in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Knowledge of Australian payroll, superannuation, and BAS preparation is a must
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to manage multiple client files reliably
- Transparent, professional communication skills and a client-focused, collaborative working style
