The Opportunity
As part of the Finance team within La Trobe Financial your primary responsibility will be to manage key processes within the Payroll functions. Reporting to the Payroll Manager you will ensure the delivery of the end-to-end payroll processes in a timely manner and be a support to our 600 + team members nationally. This role will require the ability to multitask, work to critical deadlines and work with various stakeholders throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, Review and reconcile payroll reports, PAYG, Payroll tax, Superannuation, leave liabilities Guarantee Contributions
- Processing new employee's contracts and terminations (from a payroll perspective)
- Process end-to-end fortnightly payroll for 600 employees
- Complying with the relevant award and legislation
- Managing Superannuation Choice funds for employees/external contractors.
- Managing leave entitlements and payments
- End of month reporting
- Provide high level support for payroll queries from staff and managers
- Resolving payroll issues swiftly
- Employee record maintenance
- Working closely with Human Resources and Finance
About You
- Minimum 3 + years' end to end payroll experience (Financial Services industry will be highly regarded)
- Sound technical ability,
in particular strong knowledge of Payroll and HR software (iChris is preferred).
- Demonstrates excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a sometimes-high pressured environment
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Can demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
- Can bring a positive attitude and proactive approach to the team and La Trobe Financial.
