JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide high-quality vegetation control and maintenance services across Council’s parks, gardens, public tree assets, verges, and other open spaces. You will work collaboratively with the Team Leader and Parks Coordinator to ensure community areas are maintained safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

ABOUT YOU

As a Spray Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing Council's parks, gardens, streetscapes, and public open spaces. Key responsibilities include:

- Carrying out vegetation control, park, garden and tree maintenance activities to a high standard.
- Identifying and managing weeds, pests and plant diseases using appropriate control methods.
- Applying fertilisers, herbicides, pesticides and other treatments safely and effectively.
- Undertaking landscaping, street tree planting, rubbish removal and general grounds maintenance.
- Operating and maintaining a range of plant, equipment and vehicles used in parks and vegetation management.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with work programs, KPIs and Work Health and Safety requirements.
- Completing required operational records and reports accurately and on time.
- Contributing ideas to improve service quality, safety and operational efficiency.
- Maintaining a professional,



safe and tidy work environment for the benefit of the community.

The salary (within the above-mentioned range) will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience, and competencies of the successful applicant.

All successful candidates will be required to obtain a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process and may be required to undergo a pre-employment medical check.
