Role: Sr. Project Manager (IP Core Network) - Telecom
Location: Sydney
Fulltime (Permanent)
- This role will work in the Customer’s Network Engineering group, which is responsible for the IP core of the Customer’s Existing Network.
- This role is responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion.
- This role requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several of the Customer’s projects simultaneously.
Job Responsibilities
- Focuses on completing a project as efficiently and promptly as possible
- Managing several projects concurrently
- Leading project meetings, steering committee meetings and planning sessions
- Coordinating staff and internal resources
- Managing project progress and adapt work as required
- Ensuring projects meet deadlines
- Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Designing and signing off on contracts
- Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
- Designing risk mitigation plan
- Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff
- Optimizing and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
- Managing large and diverse teams
Qualifications and Requirements
- Has five or more years’ experience preferably working in the telecommunication industry,
- The candidate preferably has a background working in telecommunications IP core network.
- Additionally, the IP Core Project Manager should possess high levels of the skills set out below to perform well in the role:
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Capacity to manage high stress situations
- Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
- Leadership skills
- Attention to detail
- Conflict resolution skills
- Technical understanding of telecommunications network.
