ASR Civil has been operating in Adelaide specialising in all aspects of the construction of residential and commercial footings, as well as all associated concrete works. We have experienced staff who is maintaining robust operations of our business. We expertise in Earthworks, Stell Fixing and Concrete Construction across South Australia. Due to continued growth, the business requires enthusiastic hardworking experienced Steel Fixers to join their team.
The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Measure, cut, and bend welded wire mesh for concrete reinforcement.
- Fix reinforcing steel bars and mesh in formwork for concrete pours.
- Assembling and securing steel bars with wire, clips, or welds.
- Position and secure steel bars for residential slab construction.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Operate and maintain steel fixing equipment and tools safely.
- Follow safety protocols and always ensure compliance on-site.
- Work closely with site supervisors to adjust plans as necessary.
- Ensure precision in all measurements and steel positioning.
- Perform quality inspections on completed work to meet project standards.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and site managers.
- Troubleshoot issues during steel installation and adapt to site conditions.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant steel fixing experience, particularly in house slab construction.
- Current White Card demonstrating work health and safety compliance.
- Valid South Australian driver's licence and reliable transport for site access.
- Strong safety focus with experience in following construction site protocols.
- Proficiency in reading construction blueprints and setting out steel structures.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour in various weather conditions.
