Are you a retail Store Manager, or an experienced Retail Operations manager looking for your next challenge? This is the role for you!

We at Halkin are partnering with a well established window furnishings and interiors business to find an experienced Retail Operations Manager to lead their day to day operations, customer escalations and showroom.

This is a hands on leadership role for someone who thrives on managing multiple moving parts, from ordering and scheduling through to installation and after sales service. You will be central to keeping the business running smoothly, and well positioned to scale through strong systems, reporting, and cross functional coordination.

What you'll be doing

You'll oversee the full operational workflow, from sale through to after sales service, including ordering, scheduling, project flow, installations, and servicing. This includes managing the curtain ordering process first hand, writing orders, tracking fabric supply, and troubleshooting production questions.

You'll monitor operational capacity, spot risks and bottlenecks early, and put in place corrective action to protect lead times, scheduling, and the customer experience. When issues escalated, you'll be the one managing them, working through crisis resolution and project oversight on key business initiatives.

Working alongside the Installation Team Leader, field technicians, and manufacturers, you'll oversee installation schedules and capacity, and take ownership of service and defect resolution so clients are kept informed and issues resolved promptly.

You'll also lead the operational team,



covering installation, admin, and service staff. That means onboarding, leave management, workforce planning, training, and OH&S; compliance. On the commercial side, you'll manage accounts receivable, business insurances, and utility and service contracts, and ensure operational records, job files, and client documentation stay accurate and current.

You'll report directly to the General Manager on operational performance, team capacity, and improvement opportunities.

What we're looking for

Strong operational management experience, ideally in window furnishings, interiors, construction related, retail project, or installation based environments

Proven ability to manage workflow across multiple moving parts, including sales handover, procurement, scheduling, installation, and service

Strong leadership and people management capability

High level of organisation and time management

Strong commercial awareness and practical problem solving ability

Excellent communication skills across internal teams, suppliers, trades, and clients

Experience building systems, monitoring compliance, and improving processes

Solid attention to detail in documentation, scheduling, and quality control

Ability to interpret operational data and use it to improve performance

Confident decision making and escalation judgment, with the ability to manage priorities in a fast paced environment
