About Us

Seagrass Early Learning and Out of School Hours Care is a not-for-profit organisation offering early learning, school hours care and vacation care services to Groote Eylandt community.

Our Service includes a 58-place LDC and 40-place OSHC/Vacation care. We are proud to provide a safe , fun and inclusive environment where children are valued as individuals , supported in their development and encouraged to reach their full potential .

About the Role

As a Diploma Qualified Educator , you will be supported , play a key role in creating a warm , engaging and enrich the children's learning.

You will lead, design , plan and deliver educational programs and support ongoing success of the after school care and school holiday Vacation care services.

Working closely with children , families, educators and the community , you will bring creativity , leadership and genuine passion for education and care.

Key Responsibilities

- . Plan , implement and evaluate engaging child-centred OSHC progarms
- . Create a safe , inclusive and nurturing environment for school-aged children
- .



Support children's wellbeing , learning , development and sense of belonging
- . Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families , and the broader community
- . Lead and support educators to deliver consistent , high- quality care
- . Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, service policies and quality standards
- . Contribute to a positive , cooperative and professional team culture

Requirements :

- . A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care certificate
- . Experience working children in an OSHC, early childhood , education and care settings
- . Thorough understanding of child development , educational programming and inclusive practice
- . Excellent communication , organisation and relationship -building skills
- . The ability to work independently and collaboratively with others while contributing to the team positively
- . A current police check, national child safety training , WWCC, First Aid/CPR .
- . A commitment to child safety and child protection responsibilities.
