With this continued focus on innovation and new products there is a need for an Electrical & Controls Engineer to help deliver optimisations across their key manufacturing facility in South-sideBrisbane.
The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading automation and controls initiatives to improve plant reliability, performance and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across automation, control systems and equipment reliability.
- Scoping, planning and delivering the automation component of capital projects.
- Implementing hardware, software and process control upgrades across the manufacturing site.
- Providing technical support and advanced fault-finding expertise for electrical and control systems.
- Working closely with maintenance trades and production teams during installation, commissioning and optimisation activities.
- Managing the design, procurement, implementation and integration of control systems for capital projects.
- Identifying opportunities to improve plant performance, uptime and manufacturing efficiency.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience working with high-speed automated manufacturing equipment, ideally within the food, beverage or dairy industries.
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience, particularly with Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) platforms.
- Experience delivering automation improvements and supporting capital projects within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify practical engineering solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across engineering, maintenance and production teams.
- Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
