We are currently looking for a stand out Director and an Assistant Director to work closely together running our Little Geckos service.

Position:Centre Director
Qualification: Bachelor or Diploma in Early Childhood or ACECQA approved equivalent
Status - Full time - 38 hours per week
Salary -$49.74 - $56.25 per hour depending on experience (Inclusive of Worker Retention Payment)
Location- Katherine Northern Territory

Position:Assistant Director
Status:Part-time (Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)
Salary:$44.39 per hour (inclusive of worker retention payment and based on level of qualifications) plus superannuation.
Qualification:Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA approved equivalent)

One Tree Defence Unit Little Geckos, Tindal NT
Located at the RAAF Base Tindal, just 15 km outside of Katherine and caters to Defence personnel and their families. Katherine is the fourth largest settlement in the Northern Territory and is known as the place where "The outback meets the tropics". Situated on the Katherine River 320km southwest of Darwin.
The team have created three separate learning environments for different age groups. Children feel like they belong here, and so will you. They have capacity for 73 children and operate between 7am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.

What you'll do: Director position:

- You have the capacity to build a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement
- You will be able to place the needs of children and their community at the centre of practice, while aligning with approved early learning and development frameworks and the National Quality Standards, as well as One Tree’s policies and procedures
- You will find creative solutions
- Have open-mindedness and patience
- Positive team and family spirit
- Be the nominated supervisor of the service

The Role: Assistant Director:

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Director who is passionate about supporting children and fostering their growth. As an Assistant Director, you will be essential in ensuring clear, effective communication across all service levels, creating an environment of collaboration, professionalism, trust, and respect for all ages at One Tree Little Geckos.

What you’ll bring:

- Bachelor of Education (Early childhood) / Diploma or ACECQA approved equivalent
- Valid Ochre card or ability to obtain one
- Robust leadership skills




- 2-3 years of previous experience as a Director or Assistant Directo
- An unwavering passion for children, their learning and care
- Friendly, flexible, approachable and a team player
- Strong advocacy for children and their inclusion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An ability to build positive relationships with peers, families and children
- Be living and eligible to work in Australia
