ABC Heavy Engineering is a locally owned and operated engineering company specialising in the manufacture, repair and maintenance of heavy mining and heavy equipment for the Mining, Civil, Ports and Agricultural industries. From our Mackay workshop and multiple Bowen Basin mine sites, we deliver quality workmanship backed by a strong commitment to Safety, Quality and Customer Service.
With our brand-new warehouse nearing completion, we're looking for an experienced Storeperson / Purchasing Officer to take ownership of this exciting new facility and help make it the operational hub of our business.

About the Role
You'll be responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of our warehouse, including:
· Ordering and sourcing mechanical parts and consumables.
· Receiving, checking and receipting incoming goods.
· Maintaining accurate stock levels and inventory records.
· Conducting regular stocktakes and stock counts.
· Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently.
· Working closely with our workshop and site teams to ensure materials are available when required.
· Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
About You
You'll be someone who enjoys taking responsibility and has a genuine sense of pride in your work.
Ideally, you'll have:
· At least two years' experience in a similar warehouse or stores role.
· Experience sourcing mechanical parts and consumables.
· Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
· A methodical approach to inventory control and purchasing.
· The ability to work independently while also being a valued team member.
· A current High Risk Forklift Licence (preferred).
· A strong commitment to workplace safety.
