As a Structural Inspection & Investigation (I&I;) Engineer, you’ll bring your structural engineering expertise to deliver high-quality inspections, investigations and technical advice for building projects. Working closely with clients, builders and internal stakeholders, you'll provide practical engineering solutions, detailed reports and recommendations, while contributing to the development of a high-performing engineering team.
You will
- Conduct structural inspections and investigations, providing clear technical reports and recommendations based on site observations.
- Deliver technical and forensic engineering advice to clients, colleagues and key stakeholders.
- Build strong client relationships by managing expectations and providing exceptional customer service.
- Support and mentor junior engineers through technical guidance, coaching and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices through career development, research and technical leadership.
What You’ll Bring
- A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural) or equivalent, with eligibility for registration as a Certified Practising Engineer.
- Strong technical knowledge of structural engineering principles, the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and residential construction practices.
- Demonstrated experience preparing high-quality technical reports and providing practical engineering solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a robust customer-focused approach.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
