Location: Auchenflower, just 5 mins from Toowong Shopping Village and 10 mins from Brisbane City
Remuneration: $45.49 -$64.49/ hr + 12% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

Your part in The Wesley Hospital team
We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join the team at The Wesley Hospital. As a Speech Pathologist, you will be involved in the care of patients in the neurology, acute stroke, rehabilitation, medical, surgical and critical care within the hospital, working with patients to assess, diagnose, treat and manage a range of communication and swallowing impairments. With a focus on delivering high-quality clinical expertise, you will be an experienced practitioner, providing clinical practice development and training opportunities to less experienced allied health staff, assistants and students, under the guidance of senior clinical staff. You will deliver high quality speech pathology clinical services across a number of clinical areas, incorporating strategies within speech pathology processes and treatment plans, with a commitment to providing exceptional person-centred care.
What makes a difference for us?
- Tertiary Degree in Speech Pathology
- Certified practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia
- Minimum 2 years post graduate clinical experience in acute tertiary hospital setting
- Hold a membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to manage complex and variable caseloads
- Experience in Dysphagia screening and reporting
- Telehealth Experience desirable
- Experience with Videofluoroscopic Swallow Study desirable
- Experience with Tracheostomy management is highly desirable
- Speak Out! certification desirable
