The Role
As Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Leading a team of tradesmen, apprentices, and support staff to ensure safe, high-quality work completion
- Managing all back-office functions including job scheduling, invoicing, compliance, and reporting
- Coordinating customer interactions and maintaining strong client relationships to drive repeat business
- Overseeing procurement, workshop housekeeping, equipment inspections, and statutory compliance
- Mentoring and coaching personnel to ensure skills development and efficient work practices
- Preparing budgets, monitoring labour utilisation, and reporting monthly variances
- Collaborating with Engineering, Sales, and Administration teams to meet company objectives
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in supervising a workshop or mechanical team
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements for workshop operations
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Experience in hydraulics, general machining, or mechanical systems (highly desirable)
