Vipac Engineers & Scientists Ltd is seeking to recruit an experienced consultant to work in a team of engineering consultants specialising in acoustics. The role will suit a candidate with more than 10 years’ experience . The position is based in Alexandria, Sydney, NSW.
Vipac is a multi-disciplinary consultancy that provides vibration, acoustics and other services to building, infrastructure, oil and gas, industrial, mining and commercial clients .
About You
We are looking for the following skills and attributes from the successful applicant, with an eagerness to learn:
- A degree or post graduate qualifications in audio engineering, mechanical engineering or similar science degree;
- The role will involve work in a broad spectrum of technical areas;
- At least 10 years industry experience is preferred, with experience in acoustics;
- Familiarity with proprietary instrumentation and commercial software is important;
- Competent report writing skills;
- Willingness to travel for field work and flexibility with working hours;
- Strong communication skills; and
- A team player who is able to work independently when required.
Project Work Will Involve
- Performing acoustic analysis, modelling, problem solving on a range of projects.
- Conduct field work as required with the use of our vast range of equipment
- Prepare acoustic reports for external clients, with a view to meeting technical and budgetary requirements
- Proven project management experience would be valued.
