Are you a visionary with a passion for AI and emerging technologies? Independent Schools Queensland (ISQ) is seeking an AI Advisor to join our Workforce Innovation Team on a permanent full-time basis.

In this position you will:

Support the exploration and implementation of AI in our member schools and drive transformative change.

Lead an annual AI in Education Conference and bespoke AI advisory service.

Manage a suite of AI professional learning.

Forge strategic partnerships.

Our mission is to empower independent schools in Queensland with innovative solutions that support them to enhance the educational experience.

About the role:

As the AI Advisor you will:

Champion the effective use of AI across the independent school sector, promoting innovation and excellence.

Own an AI Professional Learning Suite that will empower educators with the latest AI tools and techniques.

Facilitate stakeholder groups to ensure independent schools have access to cutting- edge insights and developments in AI and emerging technologies.

Deliver a suite of professional development offerings, including:

AI across P-12.

AI in school operations.

The implications of AI on student safety and wellbeing.

AI for inclusive and differentiated instruction.

Leadership training on AI strategy and governance.

About you

We’re looking for someone with:

A passion and deep understanding of AI tools, applications, and trends in education.

Experience with prompt engineering and AI integration in curriculum planning.

Familiarity with AI governance, ethics, and risk frameworks.

Experience working in or with independent schools.

Knowledge of inclusive education and differentiated instruction.

Robust relationship‑building skills with schools, boards, government agencies, and EdTech companies.





Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences.

Proven ability to lead large‑scale learning events like conferences.

Preference will be given if you have the below experience:

5+ years in EdTech, AI-related roles, or education leadership.

Experience in independent school systems or associations.

Prior involvement in policy development or strategic advisory roles.
