We're looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment and takes pride in delivering payroll excellence.This is an opportunity to join a leading organisation where you'll have the flexibility to balance professional success with your personal commitments through hybrid working arrangements and flexible start and finish times.The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled payroll professional with extensive end-to-end payroll experience who can confidently manage complex payroll processes across multiple business entities and states.You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring payroll compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement while partnering with stakeholders across the business.This role can be based in Brisbane or considered for exceptional candidates located in other Australian states.What You'll Be DoingPayroll ProcessingEnd-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payrollsProcessing timesheets, payroll uploads, EFT payments and payslip distributionManaging new starters, employee transfers, changes and terminationsEnsuring payroll accuracy and compliance with Enterprise Agreements, Awards and legislative requirementsCalculating and processing leave entitlements, including:Annual LeavePersonal LeaveLong Service LeaveParental LeaveRDOs and other accrued entitlementsMaintaining and updating employee recordsReconciling payroll data and ensuring payroll integrityEnterprise Agreement and contract interpretationManaging payroll reporting requirements, month-end and year-end activitiesSupporting payroll-related audits and compliance requirementsAssisting with payroll enquiries from employees,



managers and stakeholdersStatutory & Compliance ResponsibilitiesProcessing and reconciling superannuation paymentsPreparing and processing payroll tax obligationsManaging portable long service leave requirementsSupporting workers compensation reporting and reconciliationsProcessing employee deductions and statutory obligationsEnsuring compliance with payroll legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and company policiesStakeholder EngagementProviding payroll guidance and support to employees and managersBuilding trusted relationships across multiple business unitsLiaising with superannuation funds and external providers where requiredPartnering with HR, Finance and operational teams to resolve payroll matters efficientlyWhat We're Looking ForEssential Experience 7+ years' payroll experience in a complex payroll environment Proven experience processing end-to-end payroll from commencement through to reporting and reconciliation Mandatory experience using iChris or Chris21 payroll systems Strong experience managing:Superannuation processingEFT payment filesPayroll reconciliationsStatutory compliance requirements Extensive knowledge of:Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBA)Up-to-date AwardsPayroll legislation and compliance Experience working across multiple entities and/or multiple Australian states Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to prioritise competing deadlines and work autonomouslyHighly DesirableConstruction industry payroll experienceExperience with UKG Workforce Ready, UKG Pro, Kronos or other UKG systemsExposure to Time & Attendance systemsExperience within a multi-site,
