We are seeking a commercially minded Purchasing & Supply Chain Officer to support and optimise procurement, supply chain, and product development activities. This role combines hands-on execution with strategic input across purchasing, supplier management, inventory planning, logistics coordination, and product sourcing/development.

The ideal candidate brings strong industry experience, sound judgement, and the ability to leverage modern tools (including AI) to drive efficiency, innovation, and better decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Inventory Management

- Monitor stock levels and support demand and replenishment planning

- Maintain optimal inventory levels and track pricing trends

- Analyse stock performance and support inventory control initiatives

Purchase Orders & Supplier Coordination

- Manage purchase orders across the full lifecycle

- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues

- Maintain accurate supplier data including lead times and pricing

Logistics & Shipment Coordination

- Coordinate inbound shipments with freight providers

- Maintain shipment tracking, reporting, and cost visibility

- Support logistics planning and optimisation

Product Development & Sourcing

- Support end-to-end product development from concept to launch

- Collaborate with suppliers on product specifications, packaging, and costing

- Conduct product sourcing, benchmarking, and cost comparisons

- Assist in evaluating product quality, performance, and commercial viability

- Contribute to continuous improvement of product range and innovation initiatives

Data, Reporting & Optimisation

- Maintain accurate procurement and inventory data

- Leverage AI and digital tools to streamline analysis, reporting, and workflows

- Support data-driven decision making, forecasting, and process improvements

Supplier Management

- Support supplier communication, negotiation, and relationship management

- Contribute to supplier performance reviews and strategic sourcing initiatives

Operational & Cross-functional Support





- Maintain procurement documentation and systems

- Support issue resolution and continuous improvement processes

- Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth operational execution

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

- 3 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or product sourcing/development

- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CIPS, CPSM, CSCP or equivalent) preferred

- Demonstrated industry experience with the ability to contribute to strategic planning and decision-making

Technical & Digital Capability

- Strong proficiency in modern tools, including AI-assisted workflows and automation

- Experience with ERP or inventory/procurement systems

- Ability to analyse data, generate insights, and improve processes (traditional Excel skills beneficial but not essential)

- Exposure to international suppliers and sourcing
