About the role

Your Nursing Care is seeking a passionate and experienced Support Worker to join our team in Hervey Bay, QLD. This is a casual role, offering the flexibility to work when it suits you best. As a support worker, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for our aged and disabled clients, providing personalised and compassionate care to help them live independently.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, mobility, meal preparation, and light household duties

2. Providing individualised support to clients with complex needs, including those with physical, cognitive, or mental health challenges

3. Monitoring client health and wellbeing, and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate care team

4. Liaising with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to client care

5. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation

6. Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and industry regulations to ensure the highest standards of care

What we're looking for

1. Completion of a Certificate III in Individual Support or Enrolled Nursing qualification with current AHPRA registration

2.



Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality care to aged or disabled clients

3. Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and empathise with clients

4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on client-centred care
5. A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals
6. A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle

7. Willingness to undergo a National Police Check

8. Current NDIS / Working with children's check and NDIS orientation module

9. HLTHPS006 or equivalent competency training or willingness to complete

10. Weekend availability is a must!
