Your current role An opportunity has become available for an experienced Computer Network & Systems Administrator to support a highly secure Defence ICT environment.

Working within a specialist infrastructure team, you will be responsible for maintaining network availability, security and performance across a complex production environment. You will provide L2/L3 support, administer network infrastructure, implement security controls and contribute to continuous improvement activities.

Key responsibilities

- Administer enterprise routing, switching and network infrastructure
- Support firewalls, VPNs and remote access services
- Perform incident, problem and change management activities
- Maintain network security controls and compliance requirements
- Conduct network troubleshooting and root cause analysis




- Monitor network performance, availability and capacity
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams and operational procedures
- Work closely with Defence stakeholders, infrastructure teams and vendors

What you'll need to succeed

- Experience administering enterprise production networks
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching and VLAN technologies
- Experience supporting secure networking environments
- Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs and network security controls
- Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder engagement skills
- Current NV1 Security Clearance (mandatory)
- Defence ICT experience
- CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet or Palo Alto certifications
- ITIL Foundation
- Intune, MECM or enterprise virtualisation experience
