We currently have an opportunity for a dynamic and driven Quality Specialist who is interested in supporting the manufacturing process.
The purpose of the Quality Specialist is to support the quality at source functions completed by the Manufacturing team from raw materials and blending processes through to filling and packaging of finished goods and to ensure that the inputs and outputs meet specification. The role also supports the site Quality Management System including microbiological testing, hygiene and GMP in accordance with the approved standards and work practices.
Duties Of The Role Include, But Not Limited To
- Support problem solving sessions where quality can add value
- Analysing and sharing quality information
- Auditing QC, Quality systems and bench marking quality performance
- Support the non-conformance processes including product release
- Monitor SAPQM reports to ensure specification are met
- Review of raw material COA's and delivery inspections
- Conduct GMP and GLP audits across site
- Complete microbiological analysis across the site and product as per HACCP/Quality requirements
- Work alongside the manufacturing team to implement and improve quality and food safety including microbiological performance activities.
- Support training of manufacturing team in routine analytical and microbiological methods
- Assist in the development of training materials for methods and processes
- Support water treatment facility as required (effluent and process)
- Assist in the deployment of current products
- All activities are reviewed for safety to self, staff, and others.
- All hazards are identified, and appropriate management strategies recommended.
- All accidents and incidents are reported on appropriate forms and issues for resolution and management articulated
Essential Skills And Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma level qualification in science or equivalent discipline
- 5+ years in quality assurance
- Knowledge of ISO/GLP and hygiene principles in manufacturing
- Previous microbiological experience
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem solving

- Well- developed change management skills
- Experience in food safety standards
- Aptitude and Learning Agility
