As a Boiler Assistant at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you’ll play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of the boiler station and associated plant. This hands-on position will see you involved in plant monitoring, inspections, and operational support to keep production running smoothly.

This is a permanent position based at Proserpine Mill in the heart of the Whitsundays, offering a fantastic lifestyle surrounded by tropical beauty and a close-knit community. The role involves shift work during the crushing season, including weekends and overtime, with day work during the maintenance period.

Your Role in Action

- Boiler Operations - Assist in the safe and efficient running of the boiler station and associated plant
- Start-ups & Shutdowns - Support and manage plant start-up and shutdown activities
- Monitoring & Inspections - Conduct regular inspections and monitor plant performance to ensure optimal operation
- Record Keeping - Maintain accurate operational logs and documentation
- System Oversight - Assist with feedwater treatment and ash management systems
- Safety Focus - Adhere to strict safety standards and contribute to a safe working environment
- Team Collaboration - Communicate effectively with team members to provide updates and support operations

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.



High Risk Work Licences (Turbine, Dogger, or Forklift), confined space and working at heights tickets, or a relevant trade qualification will be highly regarded.
