Remuneration package valued at up to $156,253.00. Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.

Position Information

Homebush Boys High School is a comprehensive boys high school (enrolment 880 students) with a proud tradition of strong academic achievement and excellence in the fields of sport, the creative arts and many extracurricular activities. We are highly multicultural in nature with over 92% of students with a language background other than English. We prioritise inclusive education focusing on maximising student learning outcomes with a continuing commitment to literacy and numeracy. Our school staff is experienced and committed to engaging boys in meaningful learning experiences. The school provides an inclusive and supportive environment that allows each student to develop to their potential. We advocate safety, learning and respect in alignment with the values of the Positive Behaviour for Learning program. We have a Support Unit, consisting of 7 Autism classes. The school has a solid reputation in the community and continues to build educational networks to further the opportunities for students. Selection Criteria

Approval to teach Engineering Studies and Technology Mandatory (Years 7 and Well-developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Demonstrated capacity to implement effective classroom management strategies and deliver engaging,



high-impact lessons that support and promote high expectations for all students, including HPGE learners, EAL/D students and those requiring learning support.

Demonstrated ability to design, plan and implement curriculum, including differentiated teaching and learning programs, assessment and resource development, aimed at driving improved student learning outcomes.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
