About the role

As the Team Leader Better Living, you will lead the delivery of recovery-oriented rehabilitation services within the Forensic Hospital. Working alongside multidisciplinary clinicians, you will provide operational leadership to teams delivering rehabilitation, recreational and physical health programs that support patients with complex mental illness. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of recovery by coordinating evidence-based rehabilitation initiatives, supporting staff development and ensuring patients have meaningful opportunities to improve their health, wellbeing and independence throughout their recovery journey.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this role,



you will have:
- A degree and/or postgraduate qualification in an allied health profession or a related discipline
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary rehabilitation principles and current models of forensic mental health practice for adults and adolescents
- Experience planning, implementing and evaluating individual and group rehabilitation interventions within an inpatient mental health setting
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture
- Solid interpersonal, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to build partnerships across clinical services, government and community organisations
- A passion for improving recovery outcomes through evidence-based rehabilitation and person-centred care
