Lead, coach and inspire a high-performing team to create meaningful employment, education and training outcomes for young people through yourtown’s Transition to Work program.
Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and performance-focused Team Leader to join our Kingston leadership team. This role is ideal for someone who is energised by coaching others, building a positive team culture, driving outcomes, and creating meaningful change for young people through employment, education and training pathways.
Transition to Work (TtW) is a youth specialist employment service program that supports young people to develop practical skills to gain employment or connect with education or training.
With over 20 years delivering youth specialist employment services, we understand everyone is unique – and so is their journey to finding work. We don’t just help with the job hunt. We provide tailored, youth-focused support for young people to get work, skills and practical help to transform their lives.

As the Team Leader, you will lead a passionate and dedicated team to deliver meaningful employment, education and training outcomes for young people. You will drive site performance, foster a culture of accountability and excellence, and provide the coaching, guidance and leadership needed to help your team thrive.

This is an opportunity to inspire both your team and participants, empowering them to achieve their goals and create lasting change. You will play a pivotal role in building a positive, collaborative and high-performing culture where people are supported, challenged and developed to deliver exceptional service, strong engagement and sustainable outcomes for young people.
Your role will include
- Lead, coach and support our Kingston team to achieve strong site performance, quality service delivery and sustainable employment outcomes
- Build a positive and accountable team culture that encourages professionalism, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement
- Drive performance against contractual requirements, KPIs and employer engagement priorities
- Oversee day-to-day site operations using a strengths-based, participant-centred approach while maintaining a strong focus on outcomes
- Support the team to understand local labour market opportunities, employer needs, incentives and pathways into sustainable employment
- Identify local skill shortages and develop employer-focused strategies that support young people into meaningful work
- Strengthen yourtown’s local presence through community engagement, stakeholder relationships and business development opportunities

You will bring energy, resilience and a strong performance mindset, with the ability to coach others, maintain accountability and create a team environment where people feel supported to do their best work.
You will bring
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to build confidence, develop skills and achieve sustainable employment outcomes
- Experience within Employment Services, with demonstrated leadership capability and the ability to coach, develop and motivate team members to achieve performance and quality outcomes
- A strong understanding of the local labour market, employer needs and the barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged young people
- Well-developed communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across internal and external networks
- Experience driving performance, fostering accountability and creating a positive team culture focused on continuous improvement and service excellence
- Knowledge of youth employment challenges and practical strategies to support young people to overcome barriers and achieve their goals
- Solid organisational skills, resilience and the ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining a focus on outcomes
- A commitment to delivering exceptional participant experiences and leading a team that makes a lasting difference in the community
