About the Role Full‑time position with flexible work options.
Salary circa $97,480 plus super (Band 6). Lead a team of Administration Officers delivering sector‑leading business and customer services to the public and the Darebin Statutory Planning unit.
Responsibilities - Lead, develop and support a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and service excellence.
- Ensure consistent delivery of a positive, responsive, customer‑focused experience for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify, implement and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Play a key role in preparing for the move to Council’s current Enterprise Resource Planning system.
- Oversee the administration of statutory planning processes, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and timely achievement of statutory timeframes.
- Work collaboratively with planning leaders and key stakeholders to strengthen business systems, improve processes and support the effective operation of the Statutory Planning team.
About
You - Experience leading and developing teams within a busy, customer‑focused environment, including the coordination of administrative functions, workflow management and service delivery.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills, with a commitment to achieving positive outcomes and building effective working relationships.
- Well‑developed administrative, analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues, identify practical solutions and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Passion to drive continuous improvement initiatives, streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- High proficiency in the use and optimisation of information technology systems.
- Ability to extract data, analyse and produce reports to support operational performance, business decision‑making and reporting requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports and correspondence and engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
