Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Medical Workforce Administration Officer to join our growing team on a full time (1.0EFT) ongoing.

The Medical Workforce Administration Officer provides essential recruitment, workforce and administrative support to the Medical Workforce Unit at Latrobe Regional Health. Working closely with Medical Workforce staff, Clinical Directors and Medical Services leaders, this role supports the effective coordination of junior and senior medical workforce requirements across the organisation.

The position plays a key role in medical workforce administration, including onboarding, rostering, payroll support, compliance and workforce coordination, contributing to the efficient delivery of medical services and a positive employee experience.

The role of the Medical Workforce Administration Officer is to:

- Support the recruitment, onboarding and administration of junior and senior medical staff, including contracts, registration requirements and workforce documentation.
- Assist with payroll and workforce administration activities, including processing medical staff timesheets and pay requirements.
- Coordinate accommodation, visa application processes and other workforce support services for medical practitioners.
- Assist with the preparation, maintenance and publication of medical workforce rosters and orientation programs.
- Maintain workforce records, databases and compliance processes, including AHPRA registration and provider/prescriber number management.




- Provide high ‑ quality administrative support while contributing to continuous improvement, customer service and a positive team culture.

About you

- Experience in an administrative, workforce or organisational support role.
- Excellent organisational and time ‑ management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem ‑ solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and service requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience maintaining accurate workforce records and databases.
- A commitment to customer service, quality improvement and supporting a collaborative team environment.
- Experience in Human Resources, payroll or medical workforce administration, and qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline (desirable).
