Each year the company presents upwards of 220 performances through its main stage seasons in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth; along with public programs, special events, an extensive regional tour, a Children’s Ballet and Education programs and regular overseas tours.
Role Highlights
Develop your career within one of the world's leading ballet companies The opportunity to work and perform in the Nation’s Premiere Theatres including the Sydney Opera House and the Ian Potter State Theatre Work alongside internationally renowned conductors, choreographers, dancers, artists and orchestras What you’ll be doing: Observe ballet classes, stage, studio and orchestral rehearsals Participate in coaching sessions with company pianists Accompany ballet classes and rehearsals, as appropriate Perform as an orchestral pianist with our partner orchestras in Company productions, as appropriate Work with senior Artistic, Music and Production staff in studio rehearsals, orchestral rehearsals and performances What Experience You’ll Need A high level of musicianship and robust technical piano skills
Ability to develop a broad knowledge of the classical ballet repertoire
Ability to respond in a positive way to feedback and direction
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary artistic team
Ability to contribute positively to an inclusive, respectful workplace culture
