We are seeking a skilled Theatre Nurse specialising in endoscopy and pain management. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in a surgical workplace, assisting with procedures and ensuring patient comfort. Your expertise will be vital in delivering exceptional nursing care and supporting the surgical team in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and management of the operating theatre for surgical procedures.
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and comfort levels throughout the surgical process.
- Collaborate with surgeons and anaesthetists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with a valid nursing licence in Australia.
- Experience in a theatre setting, particularly in endoscopy and pain management.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and patient care protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) is preferred.
