Operating from Naval base, we are currently seeking an experienced casual Trades Assistant to support our welders and boilermakers for a period of up to six months, with the possibility of further work after that time. Minimum hours will be 38 hours per week/overtime availible. Immediate start for the successful candidate.
The role includes but not limited to:
- Grinding steel
- Assist welders and boilermakers with preparing surfaces
- Operating a range of hand and power tools, drilling machine, benders, plate worker, cold saw,bandsaw
- Assist in general tidiness of the workshop and facilities
- deliveries to customers
