We are looking for 2 Aboriginal Health Practitioner to support the delivery of the Deadly Ears in Deadly Hands Trial, a randomised controlled trial examining whether measurable impact of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Professionals in Royal Darwin Hospital (RDH) paediatric wards, by conducting ear examinations and providing culturally appropriate support and health education for children and their families.

The Role:

- Screening, recruiting, and supporting families participating in the Deadly Ears in Deadly Hands Trial.
- Conducting clinical assessments and follow-up with children in line with study protocols.
- Working collaboratively with the research team and health service partners to ensure high quality, culturally protected research delivery.

These positions are based in Darwin and includes travel to remote communities for participant recruitment, for up to 3 days per trip and up to 2 trips per year.

About you:

As a motivated and community-focusAboriginal Health Practitioner, you will be passionate about improving children's health through research. Previous research experiences in not essential, as training and support will be provided.

You will also have, relevant qualification & demonstrated ability to work with patients, clients,



research participants or community members; & the ability to workeffectively with Aboriginal people and people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

What We Can Offer You:

- Base salary $93,598 - $100,575 per annum, plusIndigenous Knowledge Allowance of $3,340 per annum, pro-rata.
- Leave provisions including 6 weeks annual leave
- Salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum
