About the Role

Join the South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence (SECASA) as a Primary Prevention Educator (Social Worker Grade 2) on a part-time (0.6 EFT), fixed-term basis until June 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker passionate about prevention, education and creating lasting social change.

Working within SECASA's Primary Prevention Program, you'll deliver evidence-based education that promotes respectful relationships, body safety, consent and the prevention of sexual assault and family violence. Partnering with schools, early learning centres and community organisations, you'll help empower children, young people, families and professionals to build safer, more respectful communities.

In this role, you will:

- Deliver engaging education and training programs across schools and community settings.
- Facilitate respectful relationships, body safety and violence prevention programs.
- Develop and review evidence-based education resources.
- Build strong partnerships with schools, community organisations and key stakeholders.




- Evaluate programs and contribute to quality improvement and community engagement initiatives.

About SECASA

The South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence (SECASA), a program of Monash Health, is one of Victoria's leading specialist sexual assault and family violence services. Alongside providing specialist counselling and therapeutic services to victim survivors and people displaying harmful sexual behaviours, SECASA is committed to preventing violence before it occurs through education, advocacy, research and community partnerships.

Our multidisciplinary team works across Melbourne's south-eastern region to challenge the drivers of gender-based violence, promote respectful relationships and support safer communities through evidence-based practice and collaboration.

About You

You're an experienced Social Worker who is passionate about education, prevention and community engagement. You'll bring:

- Eligibility for AASW membership.
- Knowledge of sexual assault, family violence and primary prevention frameworks.
- Understanding of the gendered drivers of violence.
- Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience developing education resources or training materials.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively and autonomously.
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or willingness to complete one, will be highly regarded.
