I am seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join a nationally recognised Tier 2 construction contractor delivering a major civil infrastructure project in the Northern Territory.
The Role
- Providing visible, site-based safety leadership across a major civil infrastructure project
- Conducting site inspections, audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, and compliance activities
- Reviewing and monitoring Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), work packs, and high-risk construction activities
- Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks, safety alerts, and ongoing workforce engagement initiatives
- Assisting with the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of project HSEQ systems and initiatives
- Building solid working relationships with operational teams to proactively identify and manage risk
About You
- Previous experience as a Safety Advisor within civil and commercial construction, infrastructure, or major projects environments
- Strong understanding of high-risk civil activities, contractor management, and risk management processes
- Demonstrated experience reviewing SWMS and supporting safe systems of work in dynamic construction environments
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and industry best practice
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and coach positive safety behaviours
- Self-motivated, resilient, and capable of working effectively within a remote project environment
