The Role

Underwrite a diverse portfolio of Liability risks and build strong, sustainable relationships with brokers across South Australia.

This is an opportunity to work across a broad range of Liability products, develop your expertise, and make a meaningful impact within a supportive and dynamic underwriting environment. The role works closely with the State Manager SA and Senior Liability Underwriter to support sustainable business growth and deliver exceptional service to brokers.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Underwrite a range of Liability risks including Public & Products Liability, Miscellaneous Professional Risks and other Liability classes, assessing new business, renewals, endorsements and referrals in line with underwriting guidelines and profitability targets

- Conduct risk assessment, pricing and coverage analysis while supporting portfolio management activities, including large account reviews, complex risk assessments and underwriting initiatives

- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers,



managing an allocated broker panel and identifying opportunities to support sustainable business growth

- Deliver responsive, solution-focused service and technical underwriting expertise to brokers and stakeholders, supporting exceptional service standards

- Contribute to portfolio performance, business development and market engagement through broker meetings, networking events, reporting and portfolio analysis

The Candidate - Skills, Qualifications & Experience

About You

You're an insurance professional who combines solid technical capability with commercial judgement and a relationship-focused approach. You enjoy building broker partnerships, making sound underwriting decisions, and working collaboratively to achieve profitable outcomes.

What you Bring

- 3+ years' experience in insurance underwriting and/or broking

- Exposure toPublic & Products Liability and a sound understanding of Liability insurance products

- Strong analytical, risk assessment and underwriting decision-making skills

- Ability to evaluate policy coverage, pricing and underwriting exposures

- Proven ability to build strong broker relationships and influence outcomes

- A commercially focused approach, supported by excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Bonus Points For:

- Experience underwritingPublic & Products Liability

- Knowledge of Liability policy wordings, coverage interpretation and claims considerations

- ANZIIF qualifications (or progress towards) or relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Insurance or a related field
