About You :

- Bachelor Degree in Social Work.
- Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

Position Summary :

The Practice Adviser / Social Worker is responsible for providing professional practice leadership, participant support, training guidance and case management services to ensure high-quality outcomes for individuals, families and communities. The role combines direct client support with practice oversight, mentoring and quality improvement activities to support organisational service delivery and compliance requirements.

The Practice Adviser / Social Worker provides expert advice to staff, students and stakeholders while ensuring services align with legislative requirements, industry best practice and organisational standards.

Key Requirements :

- Experience in case management, community services, child protection, training, employment services, education or a related field.
- Strong assessment, communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to manage complex situations and competing priorities.




- Strong understanding of person-centred and strengths-based practice.
- Experience in a leadership, coaching or practice advisory role.
- Experience within an RTO, community services, youth services or NDIS environment.
- Training and facilitation experience.
- Knowledge of quality, safeguarding and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity and accountability.
- Act in the best interests of clients and stakeholders.
- Maintain ethical and evidence-based practice.
- Foster respectful, collaborative and inclusive relationships.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and service excellence.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.

Job Responsibility :

Social Work & Client Support

- Conduct client assessments, intake interviews and support planning.
- Provide case management, advocacy and referral services.
- Support individuals, families and communities to achieve positive outcomes.
- Develop and review support plans, intervention strategies and case notes.
- Maintain professional relationships with participants, families and external agencies.
- Facilitate access to appropriate community and support services.
- Provide practice advice and guidance to staff and students.
- Support staff with complex cases, risk assessments and decision-making.




- Promote evidence-based and person-centred practice.
- Participate in case reviews and service planning meetings.
- Assist with the development of policies, procedures and practice resources.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality assurance activities.

Training & Development

- Deliver mentoring, coaching and professional support to team members.
- Assist in developing training materials and learning resources.
- Facilitate workshops, toolbox talks and professional development sessions.
- Support workplace learning and practical skill development.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

- Ensure all client records, case notes and documentation are completed accurately.
- Monitor compliance with legislative, ethical and organisational requirements.
- Support audit preparation and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy obligations at all times.
- Identify and elevate risks, incidents and safeguarding concerns.

Stakeholder Engagement

- Develop positive relationships with participants, families, community organisations and government agencies.
- Represent the organisation at meetings, forums and community events.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive client outcomes.
- Promote the organisation's services and values within the community.

Health, Safety & Risk Management

- Comply with all WHS requirements and safe work practices.
- Participate in incident reporting, risk assessments and corrective actions.
- Support a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
