Mental Health Clinician

Full-Time Permanent

- Classification:Health ProfessionalLevel 2 with a salary range of$99,432 - $111,229 per annum or Registered Nurse Level 2 with a salary range of $104,826 - $110,122per annum + Superannuation

About your new role

As an allied health professional and Mental Health Clinician, you will be an integral member of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred care to individuals accessing the Centre.

In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues, clinical staff and Peer workers to provide a range of supports, including clinical care, social and emotional wellbeing and psychosocial assistance. Your work will focus on individuals experiencing mental health crises and/or emotional distress, ensuring care is tailored to their unique needs.

Service delivery will be guided by the principles of Trauma-Informed Care and Recovery-

This position requires participation in a rotating roster, including day, evening, and weekend shifts and participation in outreach.

What you will bring to the role

- Formal tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy or related




- Current full registration as a Psychologist or Occupational Therapist with current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) essential, OR
- Current full registration as a Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) or eligibility with AASW OR
- Counselling or Psychotherapy with current level 3 membership with ACA or clinical PACFA registration, where permitted within jurisdictional or program specific requirements.
- Ongoing compliance with CPD and professional registration requirements.
- Experience in mental health practice.
- Demonstrated ability to form and nurture partnerships with government and non-government mental health, emergency, and community service providers.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries, demonstrate empathy and build trust.
- Strong capacity to engage effectively when working with discomfort, distress and people experiencing crisis.
