About our role Northern Star has a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Fixed Plant Fitter to carry out maintenance & repairs of all fixed plant equipment within the processing plant across our world class Jundee operations, located in the Goldfields. This position is offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off permanent roster, with FIFO ex Perth only. Here’s what awaits you - Carry out routine inspections of machinery and fixed plant including preventative measures and condition reporting.
- Assess the assigned job and obtain tools and equipment to complete the assigned work.
- Service breakdowns including pumps and conveyors.
- Processing and crusher part replacements and repairs.
- Ensure quality of information in CMMS (Pronto) database by providing accurate history, job time, hours worked and feedback to Supervisors.
- Participate in a call out roster as required. To thrive in this role, you’ll need Experience: Demonstrated fault-finding and diagnostic experience on fixed plant equipment; crusher, mill & centrifugal pump rebuild experience & hydraulic fault finding and diagnostics (favourable).
Qualifications:
Trade qualifications in Mechanical Fitting and Machining; current Australian Drivers Licence; computer literacy - Microsoft Office & CMMS.
