Rail is currently seeking an experienced Network Control Officer interested in taking the next step in their career and joining the RMC & Operations team as a Train Control Trainer. This versatile and dynamic role, based at the Rail Management Centre, is required to support the training and development of Network Control Officers, as well as supporting the wider RMC &O; workforce. A substantial task of this role is to develop, review and facilitate engaging training to ensure Network Control Officers can deliver a world class rail service to our customers.

About the role: Maintain all Network Control Officer knowledge and competencies by working with internal and external stakeholders.

- Research, develop and deliver cutting-edge training and assessment materials that ensure the highest level of capability is maintained by RMC &O; operational staff.
- Provide support and input into training plans and recommending relevant learning pathways to effectively meet the changing needs of the business and the individual.
- Deliver accreditation and reaccreditation training on Safety Standards, Business Instructions and other required Queensland Rail policies and procedures relevant to RMC &O; operational staff.




- Monitor and track training requirements and conduct relevant assessments to ensure compliance of mandatory training.
- Work closely with relevant external and internal customers to ensure the appropriate level of training is delivered to meet the changing needs of the business and ensure a quality service is provided.
- Support the implementation of new systems and technologies to ensure operational readiness of the RMC &O.;

About you: Demonstrated knowledge and skill of controlling and prioritising the movement of rail traffic and managing track work to achieve maximum productivity.

- Be able to interpretate and use Queensland Rail operational protocols necessary for the safe movement, planning and control of rail traffic vehicles.
- Develop and deliver innovative training and assessment materials that meet enterprise and Australian Qualifications Framework requirements.
- Demonstrate strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills together with the ability to develop and foster strong stakeholder relationships.
- Be proactive and take initiative to support the changing training and compliance needs of the RM &O.;
- Hold Certificate IV in Rail Network Control.
- Hold the current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or currently working towards obtaining one.
