Itoh Talent Partners are proud to partner with Americold for the recruitment of a newly created role, Transport Analyst. Americold is one of the world's largest owners and operators of temperature-controlled infrastructure, with more than 250 facilities across the globe. In Australia, Americold operates a network of 14+ sites and for over 35 years has been an integral partner to major supermarket retailers, food producers, manufacturers and quick-serve restaurant chains across the country.

The Transport Analyst is responsible for delivering data-driven insights that optimise transport network performance, cost efficiency and customer profitability. Reporting to the Director, Commercial, the role owns transport pricing, carrier commercial management and freight cost modelling, working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Business Development.

Key Responsibilities

- Negotiate transport rates, contracts and service agreements with carriers to secure competitive pricing and service performance.
- Develop and maintain transport pricing models for new and existing customers, aligned to margin targets.
- Conduct customer and lane-level profitability analysis, recommending pricing adjustments for underperforming accounts.




- Monitor transport yield and cost-to-serve to identify and address margin leakage.
- Support contract renewals and tenders through financial modelling and scenario analysis.
- Monitor and evaluate carrier performance against cost, service and compliance metrics.
- Develop reporting and dashboards (Excel, Power BI, TMS) that translate complex data into actionable insights.

About You:
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Business Analytics, Economics or Engineering.
- Sound understanding of transport cost structures, including linehaul, last mile and fuel surcharges.
- Experience working with a Transport Management System (TMS).
- Exposure to freight tendering or carrier contract negotiation.
- Demonstrated experience building financial or pricing models for forecasting and budgeting.
- Proficiency with data visualisation tools (Power BI/Tableau) and exposure to ERP systems (SAP/Oracle).
- Prior experience in a 3PL, freight forwarding or distribution workplace is preferred.
