ABOUT THE ROLEWe're looking for a hands-on Transport & Fleet Operations Manager to join our successful team in Kenthurst, NSW.

This is a key operational role responsible for coordinating the day-to-day scheduling and movement of our drivers and vehicles. You'll oversee driver rosters, fleet tracking, routine route scheduling, last-minute and non-routine work, vehicle servicing schedules, and fatigue management.

You'll work closely with management, drivers, customers, and our Victorian branch to ensure our operations run safely, efficiently and to the high service standards our customers expect.

This is a full-time, permanent position with genuine scope for career development and career growth as the business continues to expand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Drivers & Staffing

· Plan ahead — align staffing and rosters with sales forecasts and growth.

· Manage driver hours, rosters, and morale while minimising fatigue risk.

· Coach and grow drivers through toolbox talks, one-on-ones, and daily contact.

· Stay closely connected with drivers to catch and resolve issues fast.

Fleet Tracking, Safety & Compliance

· Own the Eroad fleet tracking & pre-trip Eroad Inspect system and related tools.

· Support WHS for site staff and drivers on the road.

· Keep the fleet roadworthy, well-maintained, and fully compliant.

· Monitor load restraint, fatigue management, and transport compliance.





· Coordinate servicing and repairs to keep the fleet moving.

Load Coordination & Billing

· Manage consignments in our Freight Management System alongside our Victorian branch.

· Coordinate and adjust daily freight movements to meet demand.

· Help quote and plan custom transport projects.

· Keep records accurate to support smooth billing and admin.

Customers & Operations

· Build strong, day-to-day relationships with customers and growers.

· Coordinate load/unload support for drivers as needed.

· Stay on top of priority and time-critical customer needs.

· Get ahead of just in time pick-ups and deliveries.

· Keep vehicles and depot equipment reviewed and in safe working order.

· Equip depot staff with the know-how to work safely and effectively.

ABOUT YOUYou will be an experienced transport and logistics professional who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems and keeping a busy operation running smoothly.

We're looking for someone with:

· Transport & Logistics Experience: A background in fleet scheduling, dispatch, or transport operations.

· Problem-Solving Skills: Quick to fix delivery issues and handle priority freight under pressure.

· Planning & Time Management: A sharp multitasker who can plan weeks ahead while juggling daily curveballs.

· Systems Proficiency: Confident with dispatch software and Microsoft Office, with strong numeracy for billing and admin.

· Fatigue & Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with NHVR fatigue requirements (BFM), load restraint, and Sensitive freight - highly regarded.

· People Skills: A natural leader and communicator with drivers, colleagues, and customers.

· Fleet & Operations Systems: Comfortable with fleet/ops systems; Eroad experience a bonus.

· Adaptability: A calm, proactive problem-solver who pivots fast when plans change.

· Licences: A valid HC licence, or a genuine willingness to get one.

· Forklift Licence: Current forklifts licence an advantage.
