The Role

The Technical Officer Major Systems assists the Senior Engineer and Senior Technical Officer in supporting Gippsland Water's major bulk waste systems and resources with the objective to provide continuous levels of service to the major industry of the Latrobe Valley, within regulatory and industry guidelines.

- Demonstrated practical experience in the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater reticulation networks.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with an ability to investigate a technical problem and make written and verbal recommendations with respect to the findings.
- Demonstrated experience in time management to achieve performance objectives.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills and experience in dealing with a wide variety of customers.
- Demonstrate an understanding of emergency management and a commitment to Business Continuity.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of safety and risk assessment process necessary to control site safety.
