Registered Midwife | Permanent | Northern Territory

Curis Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation in the Northern Territory to help them recruit a Dual Registered Midwife to join their team on a permanent basis.

This one is for you, if you are an experienced clinician who enjoys practicing across the full scope of midwifery, working autonomously and are passionate about improving health outcomes in remote communities.

Job details

- Permanent full time position
- Base salary up to $123,580 p/a + Superannuation
- Relocation assistance of up to $2,000 for interstate applicants
- Temporary accommodation subsidy of $350 per week for up to 12 weeks
- Temporary fully furnished units available, 2 and 3 beds (subject to availability)

The Organisation

You will be joining an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation that delivers comprehensive, culturally safe primary health care to Aboriginal communities across the Northern Territory. Services include general practice, acute care, chronic disease management, women's and children's health, men's health, and community health clinics. The organisation is passionate about improving health outcomes while supporting staff with a collaborative, welcoming workplace culture.

The Duties

- Antenatal, postnatal and infant primary health care, health promotion, chronic disease management
- Deliver women's health services including cervical screening, contraception and STI screening




- Support emergency presentations alongside the clinical team
- Conduct health assessments, diagnosis and treatment in line with the CARPA manual
- Deliver community outreach, home visits and health education
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation

Requirements

- Dual AHPRA registration with no restrictions
- 3+ years midwifery experience working across antenatal, postnatal & lactation support
- Neonatal care experience, highly desirable
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander communities ideal but not essential
- Current Driver's License
- Up-to-date vaccinations and core competencies
- Must have full working rights for Australia(i.e. Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia/New Zealand, or a current valid visa with no restrictions).
