Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

We are seeking an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and service of light vehicles used in our mining operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet, directly contributing to the productivity and safety of our operations.

Conditions

This is a residential or DIDO role based onsite in Cobar, NSW working a 7/7 roster (days and nights).

Candidates interested in DIDO will be provided with commute single accommodation and meals at the mine camp. CSA also provides Pool & Gym Reimbursements to our employees and their dependants.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on light vehicles, including utility vehicles, 4WDs and other vehicles used on-site.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in light vehicles.
- Conduct regular safety checks and ensure all vehicles are compliant with company and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and departments to ensure timely and effective vehicle service.
- Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies needed for vehicle maintenance.

Requirements

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic, preferably in an industrial or mining setting.
- Relevant certifications or trade qualifications in automotive mechanical (i.e. Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology).
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and auto electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.




- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Australian Driver’s licence with no restrictions.
