MIL is the largest private irrigation water delivery company in Australia, formed as an unlisted public company in March 1995 when the NSW Government privatised its Murray Irrigation area and districts. The company's irrigators are also shareholders and include 2,100 landholdings across 724,000 hectares in the Southern Riverina.
MIL is located in southern NSW and uses approximately 2,755km of gravity-fed earthen channels to deliver a five-year average of 728GL to our landholders, through efficient management of our NSW Murray Regulated River Water Access Licences (WALs). Our head office is in Deniliquin with branch offices in Finley and Wakool. Farm businesses in the area predominantly include rice, cereals, wheat, canola, annual pasture, dairy, wool, beef and lamb, with an average gross value of agricultural production of $500 million.

About the role
Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the Customer Experience Supervisor plays a critical leadership role within the Customer Experience team. The position combines workforce planning, people leadership, operational oversight, customer relationship management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Lead, coach and develop a diverse and multi-skilled team of Customer Service Operators.
- Oversee day-to-day customer service operations to ensure service standards and customer expectations are consistently achieved.
- Manage resource allocation, rostering, and workforce planning to maintain effective service delivery.
- Support the resolution of complex customer enquiries, service requests and challenging stakeholder interactions.
- Drive procedural compliance, document management and continuous improvement initiatives across the department.
- Analyse operational performance, prepare reports and identify opportunities to improve customer experience outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop customer communications and educational materials.
- Contribute to departmental projects, strategic initiatives and service improvements that enhance customer outcomes
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will be a highly organised and proactive people leader with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and driving team performance. To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience delivering customer-focused services that meet customer needs and adapt positively to change.
- Experience in customer, client or stakeholder relationship management.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in team development, coaching and continuous improvement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to review processes and improve service delivery outcomes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- High levels of organisation, initiative and accountability.
- Knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety responsibilities in the workplace.
- Current driver's licence.
