About the Employer

The business (ABN 53 603 812 004) is a Darwin-based specialist HVAC hygiene company providing cleaning, inspection and maintenance services for commercial and industrial air conditioning systems, ductwork, commercial kitchen exhaust systems, cool rooms and mould-affected environments throughout the Northern Territory. Our clients include commercial, industrial, Defence and government organisations requiring specialist indoor air quality and HVAC hygiene services. We are looking for a reliable HVAC Cleaning Technician (High Access) to join our team.

About the Role The HVAC Cleaning Technician (High Access) will carry out specialist cleaning, maintenance and inspection work on HVAC systems located in commercial, industrial and high-access environments. The role routinely involves safely accessing rooftop plant, elevated work areas and other difficult-to-reach locations using approved ladders, elevated work platforms and other approved height access equipment.

The successful applicant will:

- Safely access rooftop plant, elevated mechanical services, ceiling spaces and other difficult-to-reach work areas using ladders,



fall‑arrest systems, elevated work platforms (EWPs), scissor lifts and other approved height access equipment to perform specialist HVAC cleaning, inspection and maintenance activities.
- Carry out specialised cleaning and hygiene services for commercial and industrial HVAC systems, ductwork and ventilation systems.
- Clean air handling units (AHUs), plant rooms, supply and return air ducts, evaporator coils, condenser units, filters and associated HVAC equipment.
- Perform commercial kitchen exhaust system cleaning, including hoods, ductwork, fans and associated ventilation equipment.
- Clean cool rooms, ventilation equipment and other specialist environments to maintain hygiene and operational standards.
- Assist with mould remediation and microbial cleaning projects in accordance with company procedures.
- Conduct pre‑start inspections of elevated work areas, identify potential hazards and implement appropriate safety controls before commencing work.
- Operate specialist cleaning equipment, including pressure cleaning equipment, HEPA vacuum systems and other industry‑specific cleaning tools.
- Take photographs, complete digital job records, inspection reports and service documentation for completed works.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment and personal protective equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Work professionally with clients, contractors and other team members while maintaining the company's high standards of workmanship and customer service.

Applicants should have:





- Experience in commercial HVAC cleaning, industrial cleaning, building maintenance, duct cleaning, ventilation system cleaning, or a similar hands‑on trade or technical environment.
- Demonstrated ability and confidence to safely work at heights in commercial and industrial environments while complying with WHS requirements.
- Experience using ladders, elevated work platforms (EWP), scissor lifts or other approved height access equipment will be highly regarded.
- Ability to operate pressure cleaning equipment, HEPA vacuum systems and other specialist cleaning equipment.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual work in commercial and industrial environments.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, safe work procedures and site‑specific requirements.
- Basic computer or mobile device skills to complete digital job records, inspection reports and photographic documentation.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship and customer service.
- Comfortable working on rooftops, elevated mechanical plant and other high‑access locations as part of normal day‑to‑day duties.

Applicants should have:

- Current

Working at Heights certificate, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement

- Current driver licence.
- Current NT White Card or equivalent
- Elevated

Work Platform licence or demonstrated experience operating EWP will be highly regarded

- Confined Space or

First Aid training, or other relevant safety training preferred.
