About the Position

As the Associate Lecturer/Lecturer in Education, you will be responsible for building the teaching profile, research capabilities and professional practice of the Faculty of Arts and Society, by contributing to teaching and research in Education. Specifically, the role focuses on teaching Digital Technologies units within the Education programs and contributing to the teaching of other Education units as required.. This position will be involved in the development and teaching units (courses), utilising both on-campus and flexible-mode of teaching and learning support, and to engage in scholarly work that informs teaching and learning in diverse educational contexts.

The successful applicant will have the vision and energy to contribute through teaching, learning and research to the Northern Territory context, as well as national and international educational contexts.

About You

To be successful, you will require:

- A PhD and/or substantial progress towards a PhD in a relevant field and/or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven ability to teach specialisms in Digital Technologies units within Education programs and contributing to other Education units as required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage unit (subject) teaching in internal and distance education modes, including through online platforms.
- An emerging research profile of publications/research projects or a progress towards a research plan.
- Demonstrated understanding of a university learning environment and equity programs and providing supportive education to people from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds and varying age groups.
- Ability to contribute to the development of units/courses and student resources in response to reflective practice and application of scholarship (including for online and face to face teaching)



and within the context and requirements of a quality education provider.
- Excellent skilled teamwork and communication skills, including oral, written, information communication technology (ICT) and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to represent the university at a range of forums, and to liaise, communicate, negotiate and collaborate with clients, stakeholders and partners, to deliver a valued service and achieve agreed outcomes.

Academics involved in teaching in Higher Education require documented evidence of a Graduate Certificate in University Teaching and Learning. If appointee does not currently hold this qualification, the University requires that:

- The appointee completes the CDU Graduate Certificate in University Teaching and Learning (GCUTL) within the Probationary period.
- The appointee qualifies for RPL for the Graduate Certificate in University Teaching and Learning.

Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory National Criminal History check and a valid NT Working with Children clearance and eligibility for NT Teacher Registration

Remuneration

Appointment to this role will be at HE Academic A-B. The base salary will be in the range of $76,604 - $137,659 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $89,626 - $161,061 per annum inclusive of 17% superannuation.
